Sudoku Daily is a free browser Sudoku game that strips away everything cluttering the competition and delivers a pure, focused puzzle experience. No ads, no account required, no pop-ups asking you to subscribe — just a crisp 9x9 grid, four difficulty levels, and a Daily Challenge that's the same for every player worldwide on a given day. The interface is built around clarity. When you select a cell, every cell in the same row, column, and 3x3 box highlights softly so you can instantly read the constraints. Every cell showing the same digit as your selected cell highlights in a warmer blue, so you can see at a glance how many instances of each number are still needed. Passive conflict detection marks duplicate digits in red the moment they appear — no need to manually scan rows for errors, and no interrupting error dialogs to dismiss. Pencil marks (candidate notes) work exactly like they do in the best native Sudoku apps: toggle Notes Mode, tap a digit to add or remove it as a candidate in the selected cell. Notes disappear automatically when you fill the cell. Undo is always available with a full undo stack so you can explore lines of logic without fear. Daily Challenge gives you one new Medium-difficulty puzzle every day. One attempt per day, same puzzle for everyone — complete it cleanly, share your emoji result card, and build your streak. Challenge numbers increment from Day 1 (March 22, 2026) so you can compare with friends. Four difficulty levels from Easy (great for beginners) to Expert (naked pairs and X-wings required) mean there is always a puzzle matched to your skill. Free Play lets you start a new game of any difficulty anytime with full audio feedback and animations.

How to Play

Desktop: Click a cell to select it. Press 1-9 to fill a digit. Press N to toggle Notes Mode. Press Delete or Backspace to erase. Ctrl+Z to undo. Arrow keys to move selection. Mobile: Tap a cell, then tap a number on the on-screen pad.

Tips & Strategies

• ✓Start with the digit that appears most often in the clues — the more instances placed, the easier it is to find where the rest must go.
• ✓Switch to Notes Mode and fill in all possible candidates for stuck cells. As neighboring cells fill in, candidates get eliminated.
• ✓Use the same-digit highlight (blue cells) to quickly count how many instances of each number still need to be placed.
• ✓In Expert mode, look for 'naked pairs' — two cells in the same row/col/box that can only contain the same two digits, eliminating those digits from all other cells in the group.
